SWIMMING STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING

Cam started working with Swimming Canada athletes in 2007 when he joined the Canadian Sports Institute as a Strength and Conditioning Coach.

He quickly formed a rapport with a young swimmer that year named Ryan Cochrane.  That relationship lasted for 7 years and Ryan went on to win medals at both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games while following Cam's strength and conditioning programs.

Through those seven years, Cam was fortunate to work with other very talented athletes, including Olympians Julia Wilkinson, Hilary Caldwell, Blake Worsley, and Alec Page.

Cam also had the pleasure of training Paralympian Stephanie Dixon, who amassed an amazing 16 medals in her Paralympic career.

The Island Swimming / Victoria Academy of Swimming program run by legendary coach Randy Bennett produced many medallists in FISU, Commonwealth, Junior Worlds, and PanPac Championships.  Cam views his time with Swimming Canada and Island Swimming as some of his most enjoyable and productive.
